Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell was known as a TV host, former chef for the Institute of Culinary Education and previously taught cooking. She is the host of Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature spiky blond locks and pumped up personality, reveals basic techniques anyone can be able to master. Chef Burrell worked at top New York restaurants and studied Italian food traditions and geography. In addition, she appeared in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. When she was a kid in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was infatuated by food. After obtaining an English and Communications degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she started to pursue her passion for the business of restaurant by enroling at The Culinary Institute of America. I loved every minute during my time at The Culinary Institute of America she states. I couldn't learn and do enough. After graduation, chef Burrell went on to spend one year in Italy studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners during her time at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a 1 Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. Her understanding grew of Italian culture and cuisine during her stay in Italy that has informed her culinary style. Burrell was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which aims to enrich the lives of children who face difficulties. Burrell is also an Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity ambassador where she advocates for an awareness campaign on the condition known as juvenile diabetes. She frequently travels around the country as a mentor and the guest speaker who discusses her work and passion for cooking. Anne has said during her career in the kitchen that she is incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to be able to share what's most important for her.
